As much as Corona hates getting up from her bed, she absolutely loves going to the park. She can’t walk as fast as she used to, but she still gets around pretty well, especially for her age.
She’s already looking forward to her next walk in the park!
The other day, Corona and I went for a walk in the park. Being so old, she can’t go very far and has to take her time, but going for walks in the park is one of her favorite things to do. Her max is about a half a mile, so when I take her to the park it’s only for about 20 minutes.
It is absolutely gorgeous out. Monster Truck has been outside the entire day, taking advantage of the perfect weather. He also joined Corona and I on a short walk. Monster Truck tried hiding behind a tree and scaring Corona again, but was unsuccessful… Monster Truck thinks it’s the greatest thing ever; Corona, not so much.
Last Halloween my sister decided to draw Corona on a pumpkin. Here’s a side by side of the two.
Pretty similar right?
Monday’s are rough, but Monster Truck had a great day as always. He went through his regular routine of waking up, going downstairs to eat, then coming back upstairs to wait for me to finish showering, outside the door. Monster Truck LOVES drinking the milk from the cereal bowl. He waits on the table for me to finish eating, then takes a few licks of whatever milk is left. One thing to know about him is that he always prefers whole milk or even 2% over skim milk. He’s a particular cat with expensive tastes.
Monster Truck also sat at the dinner table with us tonight. He doesn’t do that as often because he’s usually outside at the time we have dinner, but tonight was an exception. He sure loved the grilled chicken!
Oh yeah, and Monster Truck brought home a nice dead squirrel for me the other day. Thanks MT!
A few weeks ago, Monster Truck wasn’t feeling very well, so both Corona and Max came up to check up on him while he was eating. He usually has his dinner on the counter but he was unable to jump up so I had to put it on the floor for him. Corona & Max wouldn’t leave him until he was all done eating, and then, like a family leaving a restaurant, they all left together.
Max and Monster Truck did not get along at all when they first met a couple years back, but now they’re good friends. Max now knows that Monster Truck is the boss of the house and he has certainly learned not to mess with him. Max even looks out for his cat friend now!
Corona was in a very good mood today; her tail all curled up, smiling, ready for adventure. Unfortunately, the only adventure she had was going for a walk. Nonetheless, she had a great time on her walk with Monster Truck. It’s the happiest i’ve seen her in awhile. Even an old pug like Corona loves to go for walks. That is, when it isn’t too cold or too hot (she’s very sensitive to the weather).
Corona wishes everyone a very happy Friday!
